Ryoya Hamada appointed COO of ELANCER Japan

ELANCER Japan Inc. announces that Ryoya Hamada was appointed Director and Chief Operating Officer with effect from 1 January 2026. Under the new leadership structure, we will expand our IT talent matching business and accelerate growth across Japan and Korea.

Why we created the role

DX and the acceleration of AI have driven sharp growth in demand for IT engineers and consultants, and our own business has grown steadily with it. At this stage of expansion, we wanted to strengthen execution and move faster from decision to action, and so established the role of Director and COO.

Hamada brings experience in DX and new business development for trading houses and logistics companies at Fujitsu, together with a track record from his own company of supporting digital marketing strategy end to end - from planning through execution - for clients ranging from large enterprises to startups. He will apply that experience to oversee execution across marketing, sales and hiring, under a go-to-market strategy.

Background	Joined Fujitsu Limited, working on DX and new business development projects for trading houses and logistics companies, supporting operational reform and business creation through digital technology. Later founded his own company, working end to end - from digital marketing strategy through execution and growth support - for clients ranging from large enterprises to startups, and from foreign-owned to Japanese firms. 2026 January 2026, appointed COO of ELANCER Japan Inc. He oversees the Japanese business and drives the rollout of the ELANCER platform in Japan, leading the build of a global platform that links companies at home and abroad with high-calibre IT professionals, and working to create a new expert talent market between Japan and the rest of the world.

It is an honour to take on this role. My work so far has spanned business transformation through DX at large enterprises, and support that cuts across marketing and sales. My task now is to bring all of that to bear - overseeing execution across marketing, sales and hiring, and accelerating the company's growth.

In a period of rapid change, creating places where capable IT professionals can work across borders bears directly on Japan's industrial competitiveness. I intend to lead this business with real commitment, and grow ELANCER into a leading IT talent platform in Japan.
